On the occasion of World Health Day, Udgam and Zebar School for Children along with MYFM 94.3 organized an event “Beat Breast Cancer” at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium on Saturday , 7th April, 2018.

This event was organized to sensitize women of our city towards the high incidences of breast cancer in Indian women. Dr Shefali Desai leading breast cancer specialist of Gujarat presented an informative slide show on Breast Cancer. More than 700 women from all age groups had gathered at the hall to attend the event. Dr. Desai discussed various ways through which breast cancer can be detected at early stages. She also responded to queries of the audience and busted some common myths related to breast cancer.

At the end of her session, she took a pledge from the audience for an annual health check-up and requested them to pass on the knowledge in their circle about breast cancer. Gujarati Television stars Diksha Joshi, and Isha Kansara also joined to support the awareness campaign.
